Clary Fray is a normal girl. Has a friend name Simon and lives with her mom. She even goes to the Club Pandemonium every so often. She's just a normal teenager right? Wrong.
One night at pandemonium she witnesses a murder committed by three teenagers who only she could see. She threatened to call the police, but the victim disappeared right before her eyes. The three teenagers don't understand why she can see her, and they tell her that they are shadowhunters; not apart of her--mundane as they call it--life. Clary thinks their crazy until she goes home to find her house a wreck, her mother missing, and a weird creature that tried to kill her.
